Audi RS4 Cabriolet: Tested!

We are usually very suspicious when it comes to car reviews by MSN Autos. But hey, what can you do wrong when testing an Audi RS4 Cabriolet?

If you like your wind-in-the-hair motoring to be of the hurricane style, then few cars pull it off quite like the Audi RS4 Cabriolet. With a 4.2-litre V8 engine burbling beneath the bonnet and quattro four-wheel-drive keeping it on the road, this is the fastest open-top car Audi has ever made.

A lot of V8s are intrinsically lazy, relying on their huge torque reserves for forward propulsion and demonstrating a stubbornness to rev. However the RS4 is different. With 420bhp available at a peaky 7,800rpm, this engine enjoys a good thrashing - and thrash it you will, because the accompanying exhaust noise is seriously addictive.

If you need a fast convertible that is stylish and well made, you couldn’t really shop anywhere else.
