Audi: Six times winner of 2007 Internet Auto Award

Big win here for Audi who cashed in 6 wins at the Internet Auto Award, being the most successful brand by far. Congrats to Ingolstadt!

Six first places is the impressive result achieved by Audi in the Internet Auto Award. In this, the biggest Internet poll in the automotive industry, the Audi A3, A6 and A8 models all came top in their classes. The Audi Q7, the Audi TT and the Audi R8 also received the most votes and thus received the “Carolina” prize.

This was the sixth time that the AutoScout24 Internet portal has asked its users about their favourite cars. For the first time, voting was carried out in several languages and countries, including France, Spain and the Benelux states. Votes were cast in a total of nine vehicle categories. Some 350,000 users sent nominations, and six Audi models were awarded a Carolina prize.

The Audi A3 was victorious in the compact class, the A6 led the way in the upper midsize segment, and the winner in the luxury and premium class was the A8, which has recently undergone an extensive update and will be even more attractive for the 2008 model year. The Audi Q7 SUV received another award, thus continuing its success story. The second generation of the Audi TT Roadster was able to assert itself against strong competition in the convertible category. The new TT has enabled Audi to prove that an automotive icon can be successfully updated without damage to its design blueprint. The great appeal that the pure-bred Audi R8 sports car has had since it was first unveiled is also evident among AutoScout24 users. Indeed, the R8 was voted straight to first place. Audi was therefore the most successful brand in the awards by far.
