VW Golf: Production of 6th generation delayed

VW has delayed the start of production of its 6th generation VW Golf for 6 months, that means that the new VW Golf will hit the streets in 2009 now.
The new Volkswagen Golf has been delayed. Sales will now start in 2009 – six months later than planned.
The MkVI was expected to make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, before hitting UK dealers in the autumn. However, tweaks to the original design have forced the company to put back its arrival. Bosses will unveil the next-generation model at the Paris Motor Show in September 2008.
