Volkswagen has been caught testing a four-door coupe version of the Passat in the desert southwest. And while the front and rear ends of the prototype are still disguised, the final shape-created by Volkswagen’s new styling guru, Walter de’Silva-is becoming clearer.
The four-door coupe is scheduled for debut at next spring’s Geneva Motor Show. At launch it will offer a choice of two engines: a 160-hp, 1.8-liter turbocharged four, and a turbocharged 3.6-liter V-6 version with 300 horsepower and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. A wider variety of engines is to follow in the year after its launch.
