VW Touareg V6 TDI: Quiet as a mouse, big as a house
We have a South African review of the VW Touareg V6 TDI for you.
I've driven many large 4x4s so when I was told that the Touareg I would be picking up was "a big bugger" I was wary. Later, when standing in front of the vehicle, I thought perhaps I had been misinformed but soon discovered the people at Volkswagen have engaged in a bit of design trickery.
The Touareg's lack of hard edges and rounded front and rear make it appear somewhat reserved and mildly mid-sized. It's only when I hopped into the cabin that I realised my eyes had been deceived. It is indeed a monster of a car.
