VW Beetle: New artist's impression of next generation

VW Beetle
Will the next generation VW Beetle look like this? Taking some design elements of the VW up! platform might not be a bad idea.
The new Beetle will gain more length in order to offer more space. The design cues will be inspired by the Up! Concept unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The headlights will receive a new form and LED technology. The new Beetle will be designed so it can be easily adapted for a wide variety of model variants.

The 2010 Volkswagen Beetle will be styled in California and engineered in Germany. The starting price for the coupe version will be $18.000 and $25.000 for the convertible version.
