Audi Q7 4.2 TDI quattro: Diesel brute coming to South Africa

Audi Q7 4.2 TDI quattro
Audi's torque monster, the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI quattro, will be launched in South Africa in 2008.
The most powerful diesel Audi, the Q7 4.2 TDI is heading to South Africa for market introduction in February next year.

The 4.2-litre capacity of the V8, which is overseas available in the A8 too, generates an output of 240 kW and 760 Nm of torque at engine speeds between 1 800 to 2 500 r/min.

This Q7 derivative accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and has a top speed of 236 km/h.

The Audi Q7 4.2 TDI transmits its power through a six-speed tiptronic gearbox and a sportily tuned quattro driveline.

Audi's "adaptive air suspension" is standard on the 4.2 TDI too.
