Audi R8: Middle East Car of the Year

The Audi R8 has won another important award as Middle East Car of the Year. Why important? That's where the money is. Congrats to Audi
A gala evening held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, witnessed the much aniticipated announcements of the 2007 AUTOCAR Middle East Awards winners.

Damien Reid, Senior Editor AUTOCAR Middle East commented, 'The Audi R8 has proved to be the outstanding car of 2007 and is a worthy winner of our Car of the Year award.'

'Once again we had a tremendous response and support from the region's automotive dealers and manufacturers supplying us with the cars to test. Our team of seven judges put our shortlisted cars through three days of thorough testing on road and track to enable us to judge as accurately as we can the winning cars for each of our twelve categories.'

Speaking at the event, Bernd Rosenbichler, Head of Marketing at Audi Middle East said, 'What makes the R8 so special is that it is a beautiful, thoroughbred sports car that can be enjoyed 365 days of the year.
