VW Golf: New rendering of 6th generation

Here's a new rendering of the 6th generation VW Golf which is expected for 2009 including images of the VW Golf GTI, VW Golf Cabrio and VW Golf BlueMotion.

The car remains heavily based on the current Golf model, but company bosses are reportedly pushing for production processes to be simplified to make the car much cheaper to build.

However, on-sale prices are unlikely to alter.

Nobody at VW will confirm the car's on-sale date, but sources suggest it is likely to be early 2009.

Three-and five-door models will go on sale initially, with the GTI, cabriolet and eco-friendly Bluemotion variants following.
