VW New Beetle: More bodystyles for next-generation

VW New Beetle
The next-generation VW New Beetle will receive more bodystyles, maybe even the longed for Ragster-style.
Volkswagen is developing a new-generation Beetle for launch in 2011 and is considering a number of different bodystyles, with a speedster-style two-seat roadster said to be under development.

The speedster will probably be a little more radical than the Ragster concept (Detroit Motor Show 2005), with a lower-slung, more cutaway body.

Reports also suggest that an SUV-style variant - as explored in 2000's Beetle Dune concept - is under consideration.
