Audi A4 2.0 TDI: 3.44 liters/100km in 1650 km fuel-efficiency run!

Audi A4 2.0 TDI
We reported some days ago that 11 Audi A4 2.0 TDI were sent on a fuel-efficiency run from Vienna to Basel and back, 1650 km all in all. The winning team achieved 3.44 liters per 100km. Again, who needs a Prius?
Mission accomplished! All 11 Audi A4 2.0 TDI sedans – a model just launched in South Africa – successfully made it from Basel in Switzerland to Vienna in Austria, and back, on one tank of fuel.

The target was to beat four litres/100km on the journey and every car, driven by readers of a German motoring magazine, made it with between five and nine litres left in their tanks.
