VW Jetta TDI: Biodiesel cannonball-run across America with Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson is using the VW Jetta TDI running on Biodiesel for a cannonball-inspired run across America called the Willie Run.

On September 22, two drivers in a car named Willie One (a Volkswagen Diesel Jetta fueled by BioWillie) will set out from midtown Manhattan following the course of the infamous Cannonball Run. Less than 40 hours later, they’ll arrive in LA. Taking advantage of the increased fuel efficiency of the diesel engine and Willie One’s extra large fuel tank, they won’t stop to refuel or even for bathroom breaks
