Audi A3 TDI: Lessons from a few hundred miles in it

Audi A3 TDI
Here are some interesting lessons from driving an Audi A3 TDI for a few hundred miles during the Audi Mileage Marathon. Who needs a Prius?
Thanks to my three days on the road, I know that you can drive an A3 with the air conditioning on and go 80 miles per hour up and down mountain roads and still get 42 mpg. And, if you drive a little sensibly, you can get the computer to display 53 or 54 mpg.
