VW Passat CC: Review from South Africa

VW Passat CC
Nice review here of the VW Passat CC from South Africa.

The Passat CC’s dual-zone automatic aircon is controlled by intuitive and practical rotary knobs, with the selected temperature displayed on the front – and repeated on the audio system display.

The instruments are backlit in white rather than VW’s signature soft blue, the analogue speedometer and rev counter have white graphics on a black background and the trip data computer display has white lettering rather than the usual red.

Passat CC customers will have a choice of three steering wheels. Depending on the version, the multifunction keys in the steering wheel can be used to control the trip computer, various assistance systems, the audio system and telephone.

The optional satnav system with hard drive has touchscreen controls and when rear park assist is fitted a camera hidden in the VW logo on the boot lid transmits images from behind the car to the satnav screen.

There’s a USB port in the glove compartment for connecting music devices and DVD players to the car’s sound system and satnav display.
