It said that production flexibility has been made possible by continous cooperation with union representatives. The Italian automaker will not announced any layoffs but will extend Christmas holiday for eight days.

Lamborghini said it will not change its long-term strategy and will continue to investment into R&D while expanding with new products and dealer networks. The company will continue to announce at least one new product every year. Lamborghini launched the new Gallardo LP 560-4 Coupe last year, followed by the Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder which hits dealers in in spring 2009.
