VW Passat 2.0 TDI: UK review

VW Passat 2.0 TDI
Interesting review here of the VW Passat 2.0 TDI from the UK.

The sixth-generation Passat (launched 2005) is the largest yet, though it’s no heavier than its predecessor and is much better to drive. It’s not a sports saloon (or estate) by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s surprisingly adept and agile for something this size.

The handling is precise, the steering well-weighted and despite the car’s size and bulk, body roll is well-contained. It can feel rather large and unwieldy – especially at low speeds, and when parking (the saloon’s high tail doesn’t help: parking sensors are a worthwhile option) – but by and large, it’s pretty dynamic.
