The car is said to be based on the new VW Golf by the way.
One of the speculations is a sports hatch based on Volkswagen Golf that would rival BMW 1-Series, Audi S3 and future Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA.
Another reason Porsche needs smaller more efficient vehicles is to meet stricter fuel efficiency and emissions rules.
