Porsche Panamera: In full production trim!

Porsche Panamera
Have a look at these latest photos of the Porsche Panamera in full production trim.
It was one of two completely undisguised Panamera sedans parked there, a car whose official launch is scheduled for next month at the Shanghai auto show. We latecomers flocked to the behemoth, relishing the opportunity to view Porsche's next big thing in its full-size glory. Seeing the Panamera in the metal helped put Geneva debuts such as the BMW 5-series GT and Aston Martin’s Lagonda in perspective.

In person, the Panamera is unmistakably a Porsche. And while you may argue about whether the brand needs a four-door sedan—and its rather homely exterior styling—there is little arguing about the aesthetic merits of the beautifully executed interior, finished here in a deep blue. The high center console is flanked by chrome strips in the style of high-end Vertu cell phones. The driver and passengers sit low and snug. With a choice of 400-hp and 500-hp V-8 engines in the U.S., this is certainly shaping up to be the sports car of luxury sedans.
