VW Passat CC: Driving report from Australia

VW Passat CC
Nice driving report here of the VW Passat CC from Australia.
While the 125kW 2.0-litre turbo diesel will probably command most CC sales, the 3.6-litre V6 is the sweeter mill and does a better job of matching the promise alluded to by the design. The direct-injection engine musters 220kW of power, enough to propel the near 1.7-tonne body to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds.

It does so with an alluring sound, in keeping with the theme of the car. The engine also forms a satisfying partnership with the twin-clutch DSG transmission, which with smaller engines can be jerky in stop-start traffic. There are paddle shifts if you want to play race driver but in "D", the computer does an admirable job of choosing the right ratio.
