Audi Q5, Audi A4 Allroad: New entry-level engines released

Audi Q5, Audi A4 Allroad
Audi has released new entry-level engines for the Audi A4 Allroad and the Audi Q5.
Both vehicles are now available with a 143 hp 2.0-liter diesel four cylinder. This common rail injected unit is the same engine offered in many other Volkswagen group models like the Jetta, Golf and standard A4. The all wheel drive diesel powered CUV gets a combined rating of 36.2 mpg (U.S.) on the EU test cycle. The Outback-like A4 allroad gets a 37.9 mpg (U.S.) rating on the cycle. Both vehicles are paired up with 6-speed manual gearboxes.

The Q5 also gets a second, new gasoline-powered option with a 180 hp variant of the 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged and direct injected four. In the Q5, this gas engine gets a rating of 28 mpg (U.S.) on the combined European cycle.
