Porsche Panamera: First Australian drive report

Porsche Panamera
Here's the first Australian ride report of the Porsche Panamera.
And roll we do, in serene silence that is barely intruded upon by either engine noise, cross winds or the coarse chip bitumen. It's only when poked with a stick that the Panamera stokes up a strident V8 howl that is sure to delight, rather than dismay, most owners.

The Panamera S, which channels power from its 4.8-litre V8 engine through the rear wheels only, delivers its power in an entirely linear, predictable matter. It's rarely wrong-footed, with wonderfully-weighted steering and barely a trace of understeer, where the front of the car pushes wide entering a corner.
