VW L1: A concept connecting with conceptual art

VW L1
Nice and unique article here about the VW L1.
The slender Volkswagen L1 shown recently at the Frankfurt Motor Show was built to set mileage records. The 158-miles-a-gallon-diesel electric hybrid reminded me of another very slender vehicle: “La D.S.,” a work by Gabriel Orozco, an artist born in Mexico. It was built as sculpture.

Mr. Orozco’s modified car is a version of the Citroën D.S., nicknamed “la déesse,” French for goddess and famously praised by the French semiologist Roland Barthes.
