VW Touareg TDI: Expert reviews

VW Touareg
Have a look what the experts say about the VW Touareg TDI.
The 2009 Volkswagen Touareg TDI is another great example of a perfect application for a modern diesel engine, delivering combined fuel economy in the low 20s — impressive for this size of vehicle — and excellent drivability. The 3.0-liter TDI engine produces more than 400 lb-ft of torque, combined with a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission that keeps the engine in the torque band all the time. It takes a little more throttle pedal to get it moving from a stop, but once it's rolling it feels as if there's abundant power, all the time, and the mileage is still great.
