VW Passat: Fresh spy shots!

Here are some fresh spy shots of the next-generation VW Passat.

The new car will get a completely refreshed look at the front and rear, with revised lights and a set of daytime LED running lamps.

Under the skin, the Passat will use the same MQB flexible chassis from the latest Golf and Audi A3. Elsewhere, power will come from 1.4 and 1.6-litre TSI petrol engines, as well as 1.6 and 2.0-litre oil-burners, delivering 110hp and 204hp respectively.

A flagship, turbocharged V6 with around 300hp is expected to top the new Passat range, while reports also suggest that this large engine could make it onto a low-emissions hybrid Passat.
