Audi A8: Hybrid in the works!

Audi has also confirmed that a hybrid version of the Audi A8 is in the works and available as of 2011.
Initially, the Audi A8 will be available with a 4.2L FSI direct-injection V8 that produces 372-hp and a maximum torque of 328 lb-ft.

Audi CEO Rupert Stadler told Automotive News that lithium-ion battery technology is being developed by Sanyo Electric Co. Sanyo and parent company Volkswagen signed a deal in May 2008.

Audi says that fuel-economy of the 2011 A8 is improved by 15% when compared to the current A8.
