The next generation of the VW New Beetle will be more dynamic, not retro, and will also feature a hybrid version.
The production model will go on sale next year with more focus on driving dynamics rather than retro styling – meaning Volkswagen will take on the likes of the Mini Cooper.
The next-generation Volkswagen Beetle will get an upgraded chassis with wider tracks and a longer wheelbase. It will get MacPherson struts suspension up front and a torsion beam at the rear.
