Porsche has announced that the 2011 Panamera model in the U.S. will now be available with a V6 engine. Currently, the Panamera in the United States only comes with a V8.
The new direct-injection V6 is a 3.6 liter, 90-degree engine with 300 PS (221 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. It will also be made available in the all-wheel drive Panamera 4 variant. 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) on the standard model will be 6.0 seconds. It’s a little quicker with the all-wheel drive at 5.8 seconds. Customer’s can shave an additonal 0.2 seconds off those times by including the Sport Chrono Package Plus option.
