The VW Passat Variant aka as VW Passat Station Wagon has been caught during hot weather testing in the US. Make sure to watch!
The Passat is primed for Paris. The latest versions of VW’s venerable saloon and estate will make their debuts at October’s Paris Motor Show, offering a step forward in luxury and style. And our spies have caught the estate on test in the USA, although the wagon version is unlikely to be sold across The Pond.
The styling will be predictable, with the Passat getting VW’s latest design cues to bring it in line with the Golf, Polo, Touareg and Touran. The Passat will get the Touran’s clever main beam lights, which keep the lights at full brightness at all times, but masking the beam so as not to blind oncoming motorists, rather than dipping the lights.

I’m sure it’s a nice car, but yet another example of VW dropping the ball over here, on the other side of the pond. They had better wake up. Ford is either bringing it’s Euro designs and manufactured models over here, or will making them here and selling them here. Models I might add that are similar to what VW sells in Europe, that will probably sell here. VW better start watching Ford – because they’ve woken up, and have more loyalty than VW. Until VW shows they now how to market for the USA they’ll never come close to world domination – at least not with the USA as part of it.
