VW Passat: No longer available in US after 2010 model year

VW of America is dropping the VW Passat from its model line-up after the 2010 model year, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the VW New Mid-Size Sedan with its debut at the Detroit Motor Show.

German automaker Volkswagen has confirmed that the Passat sedan will be dropped from the U.S. market after the 2010 model year. The model will be replaced by the unnamed New Midsize Sedan in January. The model will make its debut at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show and will go on sale in the spring as a 2012 model.
