Here are brand new spy shots of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz SL. Have a look!
The SL is still wearing enough camo to mask its major design changes. But what they can’t hide is the flatter nose that’s become a distinguishing mark of the new Mercedes-Benz design paradigm. Other than that, the SL is staying close to its classic body shape.
New on the SL will also be an extensive use of reinforced plastics and carbon fiber components to help reduce weight and improve agility, performance and fuel-economy. Parent company Daimler earlier this year announced a deal with Japanese textile maker Toray Industries to help develop those materials specifically for this next-generation SL.
