Porsche Cayman Clubsport: Confirmed for LA Auto Show

Porsche Cayman Clubsport

The Porsche Cayman Clubsport has been confirmed for the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

So what will the Cayman Clubsport be? Just about what it sounds like: a stripped down, track-enthusiast’s Cayman, a sort of 911 GT3 “lite,” or more simply, a hard-top version of the Boxster Spyder.

Specifics, which come from ostensibly leaked info via the Team Speed forums, include a 333-horsepower 3.4-liter flat six, weight savings between 162 and 184 pounds off the standard Cayman S, fabric door pulls, tweaked steering, more effective aero bits, and a “track pack” option that includes a partial roll cage, plus harnesses and a fire extinguisher.
