VW has announced prices for its new, seventh generation Passat saloon and estate. The saloon will start at £18,740 – a rise of £720 – and the estate starts at £19,745 – an increase of £750.
Three trim levels will be available – S,SE and Sport – with the base S spec gaining iPod connectivity and a leather steering wheel as standard to help justify the rise in price.
All models also benefit from improved safety features, including six airbags, ABS, ESP and the charmingly-named WOKS (whiplash-optimised head restraints) as standard.
Despite looking similar to the outgoing Passat, just the roof is carried over on the new car. The engine range is also comprehensively updated.
