Porsche’s new CEO Matthias Muller has confirmed that the sports car maker has plans to launch a diesel-powered Panamera in the second half of next year. In an interview with Westfalen-Blatt, Muller said that the success of the Cayenne diesel is one of the key reasons to push the Panamera diesel forward.
Now word on what engine Porsche will put in the Panamera diesel, but it will most likely be the 3.0L TDI unit making 236-hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
