More details about the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 have been revealed. Have a look!
New in those details is the body and chassis construction which will be made entirely from carbon fiber, according to Lamborghini’s research and development head Maruizio Reggiani.
The new 6.5 liter V12, upgraded from the previous unit with a different bore and stroke, doles out a remarkable 700 PS (690 bhp / 515 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. The gearbox, still supplied by Graziano Trasmissioni Group, is a 7-speed automatic (single clutch with dual sychronizers) with shift times of just 50 milliseconds when in “Corsa” (race) mode. For comparison, a Formula 1 racecar shifts in 40 ms. This transmission weighs 20 kg (44 lbs) less and take up less space than in the previous unit.
