Nice driving report here with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, possibly the best Lamborghini ever.
The raucous sound from the 562 bhp 5.2-liter V-10 engine is beautiful, especially when you blip the throttle. The six-speed automated manual transmission with albeit somewhat flimsy paddle shifters, was impressive. When I first experienced a gearbox like this on a Ferrari several years ago I found it took a lot of practice to achieve smooth shifts. Not so with the Superleggera, I immediately felt at home. In fact, I was surprised when it didn’t seem to shift as smoothly in the regular automatic mode. However setting the automatic in Sport mode was great as it shifted at the slightest touch of the throttle as it tried to keep the revs up. It did the throttle blipping for me.
