Porsche has officially revealed the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid, ahead of its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.
Powering the Panamera S Hybrid is a 3.0 liter V6 compressor engine with 333 PS (245 kW/329 bhp) coupled with an 47 PS (34 kW/ 46 bhp) electric motor for a total output of 380 PS (279 kW / 375 bhp). The electric motor also works as both a generator and starter and is fed current from a nickel-metal hydride battery. The Panamera S Hybrid comes with Porsche’s eight-speed Tiptronic S gearbox.
0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes just 6.0 seconds and top speed is a breezy 270 km/h (168 mph). The gasoline V6 is turned-off at “sailing” speeds of up to 165 km/h (103 mph) during highway stretches to save fuel.
