Street word has it that Volkswagen will bring 7 (!) new concepts to the Geneva Motor Show. Any doubts they are serious to become the no. 1?
The German automaker has already taken a few steps to address its volume aspirations, including committing to $71 billion in product investment between 2011 and 2015.
AutoWeek reports that VW plans to kick off the product onslaught with as many as seven concepts next month at the Geneva Motor Show. The product sneak-peeks will span VW, Seat, Skoda, one or two Audis and two VW-badged concepts from the recently acquired Italdesign Giugiaro group. We’ll likely see at least one vehicle (like the 260 mpg XL1) that promises obscene levels of efficiency, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see a Skoda-based mini car or the new New Beetle, either.
