The Audi A6 will hit US showrooms from next month for just $41,700.
Revealed last November ahead of its world debut at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, the 2012 Audi A6 is now set to arrive in the U.S., with dealers getting the first shipments next month. Pricing starts at just $41,700, but you’ll have to make some sacrifices to get that low.
The base 2012 A6 features front-wheel drive and a CVT transmission–neither of which make for the most engaging driving experience, though the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder does manage 211 horsepower. If driving dynamics are not your primary concern, however, it could offer a less-expensive way to get into the attractive new sedan. Standard equipment is strong, with the Premium package included in the base price, offering a multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlights, ambient lighting, cruise control, three-zone climate control, heated exterior mirrors, MMI Radio Plus infotainment system with 6.5-inch screen, plus many more features.
