Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0: Video test drive report

Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0

Great video test drive report here with the ultimate Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0. Enjoy!

The car limited to only 600 units is powered by a new naturally-aspirated 4.0 liter engine sourced from the race-bred 911 GT3 RSR. Essentially it’s the horizontally opposed engine you’ll find in the 911 GT3 RSR racer, and this new RS 4.0 uses exactly the same crankshaft that you’ll find in Porsche’s customer race car. The result: 368kW of power and 460Nm of torque. It’ll weigh 1360kg which will help it sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds. Porsche also says the new model can lap the Nurburgring in 7:27 minutes.
The outstanding driving dynamics and handling of the new 911 GT3 RS 4.0 are the result of a number of meticulously coordinated details and calculations. It comes equipped with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system (an electronic adjustment system for each of the four wheels that monitors and controls suspension damping independently in real time) that has been specifically calibrated while the rear axle has extra ball-joints for greater adjustability.
