Nice action video here of the Audi e-bike concept. Want!
The video shows French freestyle trials rider Julien Dupont and downhill specialist Petra Bernhard demonstrating their stunts and streetbike skills.
In designing an electric powered sports bike, Audi incorporated the swingarm rear suspension of conventional downhill bikes but gave the frame a low center of gravity and an overall compact size for increased agility and easier rider handling.
The Audi e-bike has a 48 volt lithium-ion battery incorporated into the frame and produces 3 PS (2.3 kW / 3 hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The e-bike can travel up to 50-70 km (31-44 miles) at speeds up to 80 km/h (50 mph). When extended use is required, the battery can be easily removed and replaced with a charged one or it can be charged at a normal 230 volt outlet in 2.5 hours.
