Audi is said to launch a high-performance Audi Q5 “RS” this weekend at the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Following hot on the heels of the Q3 RS concept – revealed at April’s Beijing Motor Show – it will be the fastest and most powerful Q5 yet. Audi is keeping tight-lipped for now on the exact details, but the new hot Q5 is expected to be powered by the same 3.0-litre V6 bi-turbodiesel as the A6 BiTDI.
With 309bhp and a huge 640Nm of torque, it should be capable of 0-60mph in five seconds with a top speed of 155mph, yet also 45mpg. Expect quattro four-wheel drive plus uprated brakes, a muscular bodykit and sports seats. A 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol version is also mooted.
