Here are some spy shots of the Porsche 918 Spyder from winter testing. A must see!
This lightly disguised test car has already had the limits of its performance measured through testing at Nurburgring, where is achieved a time of 7 minutes and 14 seconds. That’s 4 seconds quicker than the next fastest Porsche, the 911 GT2 RS. Achieving that time with a hybrid powertrain that develops 795 hp and 780 Nm of torque makes Porsche’s mid-engine sports car the fastest hybrid around the German track’s 12.8 mile lap. The record-breaking time was produced by a pair of electric motors linked to lithium-ion batteries that provide 245 hp and a 6.4 litre V-8 petrol engine that delivers the remainder of the power.
