Bentley has revealed the next-generation Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Enjoy the videos below!
Designed to set a new benchmark in the “luxury performance” segment, the redesigned Flying Spur has an evolutionary design which borrows cues from the Continental GT and Mulsanne. As such, the sedan has a lower and wider appearance which is further enhanced by curvaceous surfaces and muscular rear haunches. Notable highlights include LED-infused headlights, ventilated front fenders, a more upright grille and 19- to 21-inch alloy wheels.
Underneath the svelte bodywork is a redesigned structure that has reinforced sections and deformational elements. Besides being stronger – torsional stiffness increases four percent to 36,500 Nm/degree – the model is 50 kg (110 lbs) lighter thanks to aluminum (hood and front fenders) and polymer composite (boot lid) components.
The cabin is virtually brand new as only the sun visors, grab handles, armrests and some of the front console / controls are carried over from the previous generation. As a result, the interior has over 600 new components including softer leather seats, wood trim (in one of seven “sophisticated” veneers) and an updated infotainment system with an eight-inch display.
