Here are some live impressions of the first ever VW Golf Variant R-Line aka VW Jetta SportWagen R-Line.
Designed to preview a possible production model, the R-Line has GTI-inspired body kit with modified bumpers, revised side skirts and a rear diffuser. There’s also gloss black accents, a tailgate-mounted spoiler and 18-inch Salvador-style alloy wheels.
Interior changes are limited but include two-tone leather sport seats, Crystal Grey contrast stitching and gloss black trim. The concept is also equipped with R-Line sill plates and black floor mats with blue leather piping.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter TDI engine that develops 150 HP (110 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. It sends power to ground via a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.
