The recently spied Audi R8 GT Plus will be unveiled at the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Audi is sending the first-gen R8 out with a bang as a GT Plus variant will probably be revealed at this year’s Le Mans race scheduled for next weekend. It will come with a revised V10 5.2-liter engine packing more than the 552 bhp (412 kW) / 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of the 2010 R8 GT. The rear-wheel drive version will come with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the all-wheel drive model is set to get a dual-clutch, seven-speed automatic transmission.
The 2013 Audi R8 GT Plus fitted with the dual-clutch gearbox should sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds, making it 0.2s faster than its predecessor. Top speed will probably remain the same at 199 mph (320 km/h).
