Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera: Revealed at Geneva Motor Show

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera
The new Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Superleggera borrows the Gallardo's 5.2-liter V10 and adds direct injection, nudging output from 552 to 562 horsepower. The last numeral in the 570-4 designation marks the vehicle's permanent all-wheel drive, which incorporates a central viscous coupling and a rear limited-slip differential.

The engine, which makes 398 pound-feet of torque, drives the wheels through Lamborghini's e-gear six-speed automated manual gearbox with paddle shifters.

Lambo quotes a top speed of 202 mph for the Gallardo Superleggera and says it will rocket from rest to 60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds, thanks to its lighter weight.

Great video interview here with Valentino Balboni while driving the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni.
If there is one dream job (other than the one we have) we had to pick, it would be that of Valentino Balboni, a man who started his journey as a mechanic at Lamborghini. Shortly after his career started with the Italian supercar maker, Balboni was asked by the founder of Lamborghini to test-drive new models. Ever since, Balboni has reportedly driven 80 percent of all Lamborghini’s ever build.

Lamborghini Murcielago
Lamborghini has built the 4000th Lamborghini Murcielago. Congrats!
The 4,000th Murcielago built is not just any Murci, either--it's an LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, the lightweight, high-powered version of the range-topping supercar, capable of 3.2-second 0-60 runs and good for 670 horsepower from its screaming 6.5-liter V-12 mid-mounted monster. Only 350 of the SV-series Murcielagos are to be built.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4: Reviewed and road tested

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
Nice review and road test here of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.
It’s by no means the most expensive or fastest Uberschall supercar we drove during our most recent Full Throttle supercar tour in Europe, but the instant you start carving up the switchbacks in Italy’s Val D’Aosta, Lamborghini’s Gallardo LP560-4 becomes your favourite.

Is the LP560-4 a better car than the LP540, which it replaces? No question about that, as soon as you fire up the 5.2-litre V10 with 412kW and tap the throttle, you already believe the words of Lamborghini boss Stephan Winklemann, when he said, “It will outclass its predecessor in every aspect…”

Lamborghini LP400 Countach "Periscopo": For sale!

Lamborghini LP400 Countach Periscopo
This unique Lamborghini LP400 Countach "Periscopo" is up for sale. Price: $395,000.
The future of Lamborghini was unveiled at the 1971 Geneva Auto Show with the first public display of the new Countach. The car’s dramatic styling with its trademark scissor doors and low, angular, wedge-shaped body left all onlookers speechless. These first LP400 Countachs however stunning in their design provided virtually no rearward visibility; a periscope-type rear-view mirror was added, lending the name “Periscopo” to the initial Countach series. Just 150 examples of the LP400 were built before the introduction of the LP400S in 1978, making these early examples, with their remarkably clean styling and purity of purpose, highly coveted and sought-after by astute collectors and marque enthusiasts today.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster: Looks evil in matte black

Have a look at this awesome looking Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster in matte black! If you see this car in your rear view mirror, you know your time has come...
All 50 Murcielago LP650-4 Roadsters were finished in a gray shade accented by orange styling touches, something that the owner didn't like. The supercar was stripped down to the metal and the complete interior was removed in order to apply a matte black paint job with gloss black highlights.

The roadster was also fitted with a set of custom made, 19-inch GFG three-piece forged alloy wheels with a glossy black outer lip, matte black center and orange highlights. The rims are shod in Pirelli P-Zero 245/30/19 front and 355/25/19 rear tires.

Lamborghini Murcielago: Spy shots of V12 successor

Lamborghini Murcielago
Nice spy shots here of the successor of the Lamborghini Murcielago, caught during winter testing.
It’ll be roughly the same size as today’s Murcielago and keep the flamboyant wardrobe intact. Although all-new, familiar motifs such as scissor doors are a must.

Sant’Agata’s new range-topper will be made largely from carbonfibre this time, bringing a handy drop in kerbweight. The Murcielago has always been remarkably nimble for such a big car, but a composite diet and carbon tub can only help improve the supercar’s poise.

Lamborghini: Going on a diet

Lamborghini
Lamborghini will focus on weight reduction to bring down fuel consumption and therefore emissions.
Simple, as company CEO Stephan Winkelmann correctly observes, "It has come to the point where acceleration equals consumption. More consumption means increased CO2 emissions." Apparently, the answer to the power conundrum will be less weight. "We will use composite materials in the right place, when it also has the right cost, stiffness and mechanical characteristics," explains R&D chief Maurizio Reggiani.

Lamborghini LP570-4 SV: Coming to Geneva Motor Show?

Lamborghini LP570-4 SV
Street word has it that the Lamborghini LP570-4 SV will come to the Geneva Motor Show. Let's cross fingers!
According to the Lamborghini lovers at the Teamspeed Forums, there's a new, even higher-performance version of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 on the way to the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. No surprise, really, as the Gallardo's successor isn't expected until 2012 or so, and Lambo is always working on improving the breed.

We're told to expect a 10-horsepower bump up to 570 ponies, which will then be distributed to all four wheels (making this the LP570-4, naturally). A stripped-down interior (a la the Gallardo Superlegerra), an updated aero package including a new front spoiler and a large carbon fiber rear wing, a reworked front suspension arrangement, and carbon ceramic brakes may also be in the works.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni: Drifted by Valentino Balboni

Great video here of a drifting Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni by nobody else than Valentino Balboni himself!
The following video is actually a pretty good demonstration of the difference between RWD and AWD vehicles. You'll see the Mr. Balboni flinging the LP550-2 around a corner, the rear sliding out a touch before he applies just a dab of oppo' to get the V10-powered, rear-wheel drive mini-monster back in line. This is followed by an AWD LP560-4 which simply can't break traction and sort of gracelessly shunts and shutters its way around the corner.

Lamborghini
Lamborghini has opened its first standalone US retail boutique in LA.
Complete with a colorful caravan of Lamborghinis that snaked through the Malibu hills and an in-store runway show, the event drew crowds of car lovers who checked out the store’s fashion apparel, casual logo clothing and accessories. (Lamborghini umbrella, anyone?)

Lamborghini Chief Executive Stephan Winkelmann, who flew in from Italy to attend the opening, said the store would allow the company to move beyond its core business and reach out to admirers of the brand who couldn’t afford a supercar. If all goes well, the store could expand to more locations, he said.

Lamborghini Gallardo: Video of twin turbo mod with 1500bhp

Awesome video here of a Lamborghini Gallardo with a twin turbo delivering 1500bhp!
Created for a client named Jonah, the twin-turbo Gallardo (dubbed the TTG) produces a stunning 1500 WHP (at 30 psi) on VP C16 racing fuel. If that isn't impressive enough, the TTG is probably producing 1875 HP at the crank - when you consider drivetrain loss of around 25 percent.

Backed up by a six-speed transmission, Jonah was able to post a sub-ten second time through the quarter mile at a speed exceeding 160 mph.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni: Test review!

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni
Very interesting test review here of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni. Great car!
Few cars are more menacing to look at than the current crop of angular, angry-eyed, impossibly low Lamborghinis. The fact that they're all incredibly powerful and blisteringly fast only enhances their malevolent mien. But to keep them from throwing too many riders, these raging bulls have been reined in by the reassuring traction of all-wheel drive for the past 10 years, which helps keep all four hooves charging in the driver's desired direction. Well, the bright orange beast on these pages puts an end to all that. It's a rear-heavy rear-driver with a stability-control-off switch. It seems amazing that some legal disclaimer doesn't have to be agreed to with a fingerprint detector before keying the ignition.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV: Watch how it's being build

Great videos here about how the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV is being build. Must see!
The October 1st episode of "Ultimate Factories" takes us to Lamborghini's factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy for the making of the Murcielago LP670-4 Super Veloce (SV) that was introduced tp the public for the first time at the Geneva Salon this past March.

The most hardcore version of the Murcielago is 100kg (220 lbs) lighter than its "regular" counterpart while power comes from a tweaked version of Lamborghini's 6.5-liter V12 engine that delivers an extra 30HP for a total output of 670HP. The result is a 0 to 62mph (100km/h) sprint time of just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 342km/h or 212mph.

Lamborghini Reventon Roadster: Live impressions from Frankfurt Motor Show

Lamborghini Reventon Roadster
The Lamborghini booth is always a must see at any motor show, this year is no exception. Also because of the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster...
The Reventon Roadster looks even more like a tangram set pumped up on growth hormones than the hardtop. And while the crazy, hard-edged angularism might not be for everyone, it's hard to do much but smile when you're standing next to it. Lamborghini Murcielago: Now with 1100bhp by Heffner Performance

Enjoy the video of this awesome 1100bhp mod by Heffner Performencance of a Lamborghini Murcielago.
The 571 horsepower Lamborghini Murcielago is a very, very fast car. So fast that most people - even most enthusiasts - will never drive a car that rivals it. But for a privileged few, Heffner Performance has a twin-turbo kit that will boost its power to 1,100 horsepower - at the wheels.

According to the dyno chart, it's actually hit 1,114 horsepower, to be exact. For those afraid of maths, that's about 1,300 horsepower at the crank, assuming the standard 15% drivetrain loss. Or, in comparative terms, about 227% of the standard Murcielago's power.

Yes, it's insane.

Lamborghini LM002: Sultan of Brunei's ride for sale

Lamborghini LM002
A very unique Lamborghini LM002 is up for sale!
But the Rambo Lambo, as it was known, was sold as a four-door short-bed pickup of sorts. That didn't cut it for the famously car crazy Sultan of Brunei, who apparently had this custom LM002 wagon built to his specifications.

It can seat seven in exotic opulence, complete with leather upholstery, burlwood veneer, television screens, DVD players, electric everything...oh, and a 450 horsepower V12 borrowed from the Countach. Not too shabby, especially for a sport-ute from 1987.

This particular LM is said to be the only one of its kind, and it was reportedly owned by former BMW and Volkswagen chief Bernd Pischetsrieder after it left Brunei.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni: Joint test drive report with Valentino Balboni

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni
When you get a call to join a test drive with Mr. Lamborghini Valentino Balboni, do as you are told and run. Especially if you can drive his car, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni.
About ten months ago, Lamborghini engineers began, "Coming to me with strange questions. How did the Miura drive? What was the Countach like? They were very casual. They just wanted my opinion. But they wouldn't say why." Then they began asking him what he truly valued in a Lamborghini, what he really wanted to see. Rear-wheel drive, of course. But there was something more. "They wanted to give the customers a taste of the old school Lamborghini flavor." And that sort of knowledge could only be provided by the "Ambassador of Lamborghini."

Cars like the Countach and the Miura, they don't make sense today. You can't care about the planet and have a Miura.
"There is a link," he begins. "An emotional link" between the raging bulls of yore and the brand-new LP550-2. "The character and temperament of Ferruccio Lamborghini is kept on." As he's telling me this, a tiny spot in traffic opens up and for the first time he's able to punch the throttle. That noise. That wonderful, snarling noise. I wish there was someway with words alone to express to you how lovely, violent and symphonic the LP550-2 VB's 5.2-liter V10 sounds, but I'm afraid written language fails me.

Lamborghini: Great rivalries with Ferrari

Lamborghini, Ferrari
Very interesting article here about the great rivalries between Lamborghini and Ferrari.
On the one hand you have Ferrari, the legendary marque founded by a notoriously autocratic icon. The cars from Maranello have long been the exotics to love and drive, pedigreed pieces of rolling art and a testament to Enzo Ferrari's singular, glorious madness.

On the other hand you have Lamborghini, a company born of one man's dissatisfaction with his Ferrari. Unlike il Commendatore, Italian tractor magnate Ferruccio Lamborghini saw little value in racing, and he would not have gotten into the car business had his personal Ferrari not given him mechanical trouble. As legend has it, Lamborghini presented his concerns to Enzo, who told him to go soak his head, and Ferruccio stormed off, vowing to build a better car.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV: Review

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV
Nice review here of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV.
If this part of our test was purely about road presence, the Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce would be the outright best car we've ever driven. Not even a Bugatti Veyron can match the drama of the SV as it prowls along, attracting pointed fingers and dropped jaws everywhere it goes. That's what happens outside of the car: from inside it's even more dramatic.

The hip-gripping bucket seats hold the driver and passenger very snugly, though some more lower back support would be appreciated for longer stints. The unique SV stitching gives a sense of this car's other worldliness, while the view through in the rear view mirror of the slatted rear screen confirms it.

Turn the key and the 6.5-litre V12 lets you know it's the star of the show. It sounds angry, as if it's more than a little peeved at being constricted by warming up and trundling along with other traffic. Find some empty roads, however, and the aggression of the low-speed running turns into a joyful howl as the engine heads towards its peak power of 661bhp at a giddy 8,000rpm, and there's still another 500rpm left to run till it hits the limiter. There are a variety of engine tones and notes as it builds revs, and all of them assemble into one of the best engine noises you will ever experience.

Long gearing in the six-speed gearbox means the engine hangs on to gears to ridiculous speeds - third gear is all you need for almost any driving conditions in the UK. It's also more than enough to see you banned from driving for a very long time if you let the engine have its wicked way. Keep the throttle hard to the carpet and the thrust in your back is brutally strong and incessant. There's no let up in the way the LP670-4 SV accelerates.

Lamborghini Reventon Roadster: Again, coming to Frankfurt Motor Show

Lamborghini Reventon Roadster
Reported in the past already, but rumors are heating up again that Lamborghini will show the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Now sources suggest that the Raging Bull brand could be preparing to unveil the Reventón Roadster at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, with only ten to be built, packing the more potent 670 horsepower engine from the SuperVeloce.

By slapping on some edgy body panels and glitzy instruments, Sant'Agata managed to bump the Murcielago's price up into seven-figure territory, and they could do it again by lopping off the Reventón's roof (or slapping said panels on the Murci Roadster, depending on how you look at it).

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni: Review

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni
Very nice review here of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni.
Forget all that and remember the power-to-weight ratio. Where it counts, on the road, the Balboni is every bit as rapid as the 560, whatever the performance figures and oddly muted exhaust note suggests. Compared with the Murcielago’s V12, the direct-injection V10 is buttery smooth and was perfectly matched in our test car to an old fashioned six-speed manual gearbox. Don’t be intimidated by the open metal gate – the change is slick and the clutch no heavier than a family car’s.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder: An outrageous supercar

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder
Interesting review here of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder.
To help it stand apart from the regular Spyder the LP560-4 Gallardo gains new daytime running lights, rear LED lamps and a subtlety reshaped rear diffuser that hints at some significant retuned aerodynamics to improve high-speed stability.

The new Spyder is also some 20kgs lighter than the standard roadster, while under the bonnet in comes a larger direct injection 5.2-litre V10 that boasts 552bhp and helps the small Lamborghini storm from standstill to 62mph in just 4.0s while topping out at 201mph.

As well as the added performance the new engine is 18% less polluting, with a similar reduction in the Gallardo's fuel consumption, but when this is on a car that costs £149,500 we doubt the expected target audience will notice. Instead, they will be far too busy experiencing one of the most intoxicating automotive experiences money can buy.

Lamborghini: First hybrid on the road by 2015

Lamborghini Hybrid
So, here you go: Lamborghini is working on a hybrid and it will hit the roads by 2015.
he news comes from a recent interview with the German-language Automobilewoche, during which Winkelmann said he could easily imagine a small electric motor joining the cacophony of 10- and 12-cylinder engines for which the brand is famous.

Rather than going totally green, however, such hybrids would be serve more as environmental mitigators - improving fuel efficiency in urban areas where emissions are worst, but getting out of the way when it's time to hit the track or back country.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3: Debut by Reiter

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3
Reiter Engineering has debuted the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3.
Based on the Gallardo LP560-4, the Reiter LP560 GT3 is a lightweight road-course rocket. The 5.2-liter V10 has been revised to GT3 specifications, while lightweight aluminum chassis components draped in carbon fiber bodywork keeps weight down to just 2,624 pounds. Downforce has been optimized, shift times have been halved and weight distribution has been balanced. But one of the most intriguing elements of the LP560's design is that it can be easily upgraded to compete in the higher level GT2 class, giving privateer teams a wider variety of titles to contest. Reiter will sell your team a turn-key GT3-spec model for 265,000 euros (about $375k), and upgrade it to GT2 spec for another 30,000 euros ($43k).

Lamborghini: The early years

Lamborghini
Very nice overview here about the early years of Lamborghini. Make sure to watch!
As an engineering student, József spent his days in the brake and engine assembly areas. He was also granted access to the room where Miuras received their scheduled maintenance.

It was not all work and no play for Mr. Erdősi. One day, an enigmatic question came his way about his cardiovascular health. Upon replying in the positive, he found out what it was all about. The young future engineer was about to receive a ride in the fastest road car of its day: a Lamborghini Miura.

“The seat was extremely low. I buckled up with a four-point racing harness. Then, as we rolled out of the factory, the test driver floored it. It was unlike anything I’d ever experienced. He switched to second gear at 90 MPH, third gear at 125 MPH, fourth at 140 MPH and went all the way to fifth gear at an astonishing 160 MPH,” he recalled in a recent conversation. “A field then approached at great speed. I was bracing myself for the inevitable ride through rows of corn when the driver flicked the wheel and took a corner at an unlikely speed. This went on for another forty minutes.”

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni: Officially unveiled

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni
After the first photos have been leaked yesterday Lamborghini has now officially unveiled the RWD Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni.
The 5.2-liter V10 has been tweaked to put out 550 hp and coupled with a the Gallardo's reduced curb weight (3,042 pounds), the LP 550-2 can sprint to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and top out at 199 mph.

As we saw yesterday, the exterior receives a new set of Scorpious wheels (hiding a revised suspension) and a white and gold stripe running the length of the Lambo, with the theme carrying over inside in the form of a white leather center console and seats. Eight exterior shades are available, along with black, orange or yellow brake calipers, depending on the chosen hue, and in addition to the standard transparent engine cover, rear-view camera, navigation system and Bluetooth integration, buyers can option up for the e-gear transmission and carbon ceramic brakes.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2: Official photos leaked?

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2
Street word has it that these are official photos of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2. Have a look!
Details are sketchy, but Lamborghini's naming scheme keeps no secrets. Assuming this is all on the level, expect 550 horsepower from the V10 mounted aft of the cockpit, with that power going to the rear wheels exclusively. The lack of AWD should also result in some weight loss, a welcome addition in any sports car, much less a Lamborghini making this kind of power.

Lamborghini: Hybrid in the works?

Lamborghini
If you read the fine print in some of the latest statements by Lamborghini you could come to the conclusion that they are working on a hybrid.
Lamborghini has set itself an internal goal of reducing the carbon-dioxide emissions of its vehicles by 35% by 2015. To do this it will focus on reducing the weight of its cars, increasing efficiency of its engines and upgrading them to run on biofuel, installing engine stop-start systems, and even looking at hybrid drivetrain solutions.

We’ve already seen the first results of Lamborghini’s new environmental strategy in the Gallardo LP 560-4, which produces 18% less CO2 than the standard Gallardo on which it’s based.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4: The ultimate experience

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
Make sure to read the report about the ultimate Lamborghini experience with the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.
Ten cylinders at full song behind me, a quick glance at the speedometer lets me know that I'm barreling down the banked straight at 140 mph. That's about the moment I realized that the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 was still pulling.

I find myself behind the wheel of this quarter-million dollar supercar, not because I've won the lottery, but rather because I've been invited to the California Auto Club Speedway to participate in the Ultimate Lamborghini Experience. The Ultimate Lamborghini Experience--or Lambo Day, for short--is an on-track experience for Lamborghini owners organized by Al & Ed's Autosound. Since I didn't have a Lambo of my own, Lamborghini of Beverly Hills was kind enough to supply a Gallardo LP560-4.

Lamborghini: Short wheelbase Jota, Reventon Spyder coming

Lamborghini Reventon
Lamborghini is said to be working on a short wheelbase, new model slated Lamborghini Jota as well as a Lamborghini Reventon Spyder.
While the Murci may stay on for another few years, word has it that Lamborghini is working on another model, apparently to run in parallel. The reports suggest that the new model, tentatively dubbed Jota (after the label previously used on special Miuras and Diablos of yore), will use the Murcielago's V12, albeit packaged in a shorter wheelbase with an even wider track and lightweight materials.

Lamborghini Murcielago: Successor not coming before 2012

Lamborghini Murcielago
The successor of the Lamborghini Murcielago will not arrive before 2012.
When it does come along, though, Auto Motor und Sport says we can expect the new flagship Lambo to ditch the Murci's outmoded steel chassis in favor of an aluminum one – likely based on the Audi R8's. Draped in aluminum and carbon fiber, the chassis will, in all likelihood, carry a revised version of the Bizzarrini-designed V12 that was the company's first engine and which has, with considerable modification, carried on in the company's supercars ever since. While the wheelbase is expected to carry over from the outgoing Murcielago, the front overhang is expected to shrink, while all-wheel-drive will continue to put the power down to the tarmac.

Lamborghini Murcielago: Spy shots of the successor!

Lamborghini Murcielago
We found some nice spy shots of the successor of the awesome Lamborghini Murcielago. Have a look!
Mounted to each wheel of this test-mule is a RoaDyn torque sensor that is used to monitor the different forces and torque levels exerted on a specific wheel at different speeds. The data gathered can help engineers work out varying grip and traction levels in an effort to fine tune the vehicle’s AWD and suspension settings, and ride characteristics.

Lamborghini’s next supercar will retain the Murcielago’s mid-engine layout but it will feature a wider track as evidenced by the extended fender flares seen on the test-mule. While power levels are usually boosted with each new model generation, for Lamborghini’s latest creation engineers are more likely to be focusing on reducing weight in their quest for increased performance. Thus, the new model will reportedly feature the Audi R8’s lighter aluminum space frame instead of the Murcielago’s steel tub design.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder: Demon with a drop top

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder
Very nice review here of the awesome Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder.
What could be most incredible is its prodigious grip. Any sort of body flex is undetectable; the Gallardo Spyder may as well be carved from a solid piece of billet. The absence of roll or flex, the all-wheel drive system's incredible road-holding ability whether you're accelerating sideways or braking hard enough to fling tooth fillings at the windscreen--and let's not mention the slingshot nature of 550-odd Italian stallions stampeding behind your head--make for a fairly singular experience. At no point did I ever feel as though I even brushed up against the car's limits. But you'd expect that for 200 grand.

I've never been a huge fan of the convertible mystique, but on certain days, on certain roads and with certain cars, it all seems to click. And a big selling point for a car like the Gallardo Spyder is that you're that much closer to the demonic symphony swelling behind your shoulders. To be honest, the Gallardo's exhaust note really is, come on, just the slightest bit ridiculous. It sounds like something halfway between a free-revving race engine and the fanfare from a hell-spawned brass section. There's little doubt it screams "Look at me, little people! Look at me!"
